Property 1st have been doing building repair and maintenance in Norwich and throughout norfolk for over 10 years. Over those years we have achieved a number of accreditations and been checked by independent assessors so that you are assured of good quality and service.

We are members of the Federation of Master Builders, so you can be assured that we have passed their stringent vetting process and our workmanship reaches their high standards. Choosing a builder who’s a member of the FMB means a really good start to any building project. The FMB is a trade association that promotes professionalism and high quality workmanship among small and medium-sized building firms throughout the UK. Only builders who can comply with the FMB entry criteria are accepted as members. The Federation logo is widely accepted as the hallmark of a builder who takes pride in the quality of their work, and who matches it with an equally well-run business. In addition, the FMB Code of Practice means that you can expect professional and ethical working procedures and practices throughout the course of your works.

In November 2007, we achieved the Investors in People award, which is a national standard that demonstrates that we recognise that our staff are our biggest asset and that we constantly strive to ensure all of our staff are fully trained and are developed to their full potential.

We have recently been awarded the status of SAFEcontractor, an organisation that checks that we are fully compliant with HSE procedures. SAFEcontractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety competency of contractors and service providers. Clients have a legal obligation to ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their premises operate in a safe way. There is therefore a need to assess contractors health & safety arrangements and increasingly this is being carried out through SAFEcontractor. Many large organisations and commercial industries now use SAFEcontractor as their primary means of selecting contractors. We also work with Citation plc, an independently endorsed Health and Safety consultancy, who advise and oversee our Health and Safety policies, so you can be assured that the health and safety of our customers, the general public and our staff is uppermost in all of our activities.
