Helping to highlight the charm of this feature front door.

When you see the same door every day, it can be hard to tell the changes that show that it's time to provide refurbishment until you take a step back and can see it is not its once cheerful self.

When an existing returning customer noticed that their front door was showing signs of weathering and faded paint on the door as well as peeling to the frame, we were happy to take the pleasant trip to Dilham to discuss the options to revive it back to its former glory.

To restore its appearance, we prepared by first carefully removing any loose flaking paint and filling in any imperfections to achieve a sound surface to begin works. This was followed by spot priming and then an oil-based undercoat, to ensure the best possible finish for the final paint work. The final touch was an oil-based gloss in a vibrant poppy red, restoring the character of the door and allowing the original ironwork to really "pop" against the red. This was finished with a new coat of white to the frame to really showcase the stunning colour.

As you can tell by the before and after, this simple but effective solution has really brought this door back to life and will provide our customer with many more cheery greetings for years to come.

If you're taking a second look at your door and thinking it would benefit from a refresh, please get in touch and we would be happy to chat through your options.
